Vivien Ayres
Owner of Cheltenham School of Fine Art, Vivien studied Ceramics & 3D Design at Central School of Art in Holborn, London. After working and teaching in Texas, Louisiana and Nigeria, Vivien taught ceramics at Pittville Art
Amanda Barton MA
Amanda Barton teaches Introduction to Painting and Drawing at Cheltenham School of Fine Art. Having studied Fine Art and Art History at Oxford Brookes, she then worked in Oriental carpet restoration and taught art locally, eventually studying for an M.A. in Fine Art at Cheltenham Art College and a PGDE at Cirencester.
Gill Cox
Gillian Cox is a well travelled, practising artist, who has lived in Spain, Switzerland, Scotland and moved to Cheltenham in 2002. She co-founded Crescent Art Space, a studio and exhibition space based on Lansdown Walk in Cheltenham. Gill has developed a style in oils drawing upon her initial observational practice at CFA.
Rory Morrell MA
Rory is an artist and teacher. He studied at University of Gloucestershire, the British School at Rome and University of Central England. He has taught for a number of years at Swindon College and University of Gloucestershire. Rory was the original founder of the school and leads occasional classes.
Visiting tutors
As a school we are open to wider thoughts and ideas and from time to time arrange for practising artists to come and run sessions at the school.
