Life Drawing Summer School, Mon-Tue 8th August, 10-4pm
Develop your drawing and painting skills working from observation from life with a live model.
Discover the influence and importance of light and explore measurement, scale, proportion, foreshortening, values and edges. All combined to express the human form in a variety of media.
This course offers the opportunity of full-time working from the model. It is open to students of all levels from beginners to more experienced painters. It allows for sustained perceptual concentration, with the freedom to experiment and revise. The course begins with a series of studies, using a variety of poses, exploring tone, colour, light, space, composition and pictorial structure. This series develops into a single pose which continues to occupy the final session. There will be demonstrations on paint application and colour mixing. There will be one to one tuition on the media of your choice; oil, acrylic, watercolour etc..
The course does not require any previous experience or existing drawing skills.
