
Landscape Weekend, 25-26th June, 10:30-4pm
Course Outline
Introduction to the basic principles of landscape painting view point perspective.
Sketching and taking photographs in Pittville Park in preparation for painting back in the studio.
Working with limited split primary pallets in oils or acrylic.
Use of brushes, knives and tools to explore expressive mark making.
Colour mixing and matching outside "en plein aire".
An ideal course to experiment and generate lots of ideas.
The studio is located close to Pittville Park & Pump Rooms so weather permitting we will go outside sketch and take photographs. We will then spend the rest of the workshop in the studio.

The workshop will be run from 10:30-4pm on both days.

The class will be held in the main studio of Cheltenham School of Fine Art on the first floor of Carmargue House, 32 Wellington Lane, Cheltenham GL52 2AG.
Either bring a packed lunch or step out to the cafe in Pittville Park to grab a snack.
There is free 4 hour parking around the nearby Pittville Park or all day NCP parking at North Place. Short taxi ride from Cheltenham Spa train station.
