Watercolour Basics 1 & 2 Spring '26
£75.00
Following the success of our watercolour beginners’ workshops in 2025, we’ve decided to run them again!
Watercolour Basics 1 is intended as a primer for those who have never painted in watercolour before.
Watercolour Basics 2 takes students through next steps, and will be suitable for those who have completed the first workshop (or either of the beginners workshops from last year) and also for anyone wishing to brush up their skills.
You’ll learn to paint beautiful, fresh washes; to appreciate the extraordinary translucent beauty of the pigments, and their unique capacity to layer and blend and flow. Through practical exercises we’ll help you build confidence and learn to tread the fine line between chaos and control, triumph and disaster, and to embrace the ‘happy accident’.
In the second workshop we will develop further technique, and begin to look more closely at how we can harness our new knowledge to make successful paintings.
