A ten week course starting week commencing 14th September '26. There will be a break for a two week half term week commencing 19th October. Term ends week commencing 30th November.
The class will be held in the main studio of Cheltenham School of Fine Art on the first floor of Camargue House, 32 Wellington Lane, Cheltenham GL52 2AG. There is free 4 hour parking around the nearby Pittville Park or NCP parking at North Place.
Course Detail
A ten week course for intermediate and advanced watercolour artists who want to refresh their skills or move up a level.
This practical, hands-on course will cover the basics of expressive watercolour painting: materials and equipment, washes, negative painting, edge control, layering, colour mixing. We will also look at aspects of composition and develop strategies and techniques for successful picture-making. Demonstrations and practical exercises will be provided to help participants develop technique and move towards producing lively, satisfying work.
Materials are not included and sheets of quality watercolour paper are available for sale at cost. See the watercolour related advice on the materials list.
